Your Game Boy doesn't need an internet connection. Finish a song in a published songpack, scan the result QR code with your phone and post your score to the global leaderboards at chiptunehero.com.

Compare your best runs by song and difficulty, follow other players and see how you rank against friends.

Link cable play

Connect two Game Boys and play together with a link cable.

• BATTLE — Play the same song head-to-head. Keep your combo going and beat your opponent’s score.
• JAM — Split the song’s music channels between two players. Each player handles their own notes to bring the track together.

Build your own songpacks

Make the levels you want to play. Import GBS music or hUGETracker exports, listen to the track and place notes on the timeline. Build charts by hand, or use Auto to create a starting point you can refine.

Create easier or harder versions of a chart, choose your songpack's cover and bundle up to 16 songs into a playable Game Boy ROM. Everything is built locally on your computer.
